Fashion - Style Yes

       This week is all about design talent here on the 'Rock'. Today we speak of Dexter Huxtable spoke about their collections of apparel and Lubica The Moda collection, and what their brands stand for the given type of fashion in Jamaica.

How do you define your style?

Dexter: contemporary, yet classic elegance for the discerning man.

Lubica: Simple, sexy and comfortable.

Who are your customers?

Dexter: My clients are confident. They have no fear, in a crowd. They are classic, the man who understands the difference between buying off the shelf and bespoke, after all, spoke for the home of bespoke designs is known.

Lubica: The woman who is busy, she still wants to be fashionable and comfortable. A woman, to understand the wants and simple sophistication.

Who is your inspiration?

Dexter: Georgio Armani. It represents everything I admire and I work towards.

Lubica: My inspiration is life around me. Sometimes it's a song, a film, a customer, place or thing. Inspiration surrounds me with a particular situation in life.

What has made the biggest impact on the collection you are working on the track?

Dexter: I think I'm in a place of comfort now. I am confident to experiment with just about anything and everything. I can not wait to present my collection in the exhibition.

Lubica: The inspiration for this collection is a Czech artist Alfons Mucha. He is one of the first artists to start the new art direction. The new collection was inspired by the Art Nouveau era ... so there will be lots of flowers, jewelry, romantic and ornaments. It will be interesting, a collection that is very romantic and feminine.

What did you like most about fashion design?

Dexter: As cliche as it may sound, the passion. Although I work so hard, I enjoy what I do thoroughly. I enjoy my clients happy and seeing my suits different people. Planning is a great pleasure.

Lubica: ideas from concept to finished product. I get excited when I see someone wearing my work, because it is essentially to see your idea. At first it was just an idea, and then see that someone on the street in clothes (your idea) is very rewarding for me.

Have you - have you always been interested in fashion?

Dexter: Yes. I grew Schneider, is that what I know and what I love.

Lubica: I've always been interested in fashion, but I did not know that I be in fashion. For me it is still a journey, but the fashion has always been a part of my life.

What was the most exciting experience in fashion for you?

Dexter: I would say, go back to Jamaica, and the start of my career and my store opening in Kingston. It is exciting to see your dreams come true.

Lubica: I do not think I had an exciting time, because every time I one of my goals, which is exciting for me to do. Different countries invited to my work is also very exciting, as well as my rewards in fashion ... it is a continuous journey, and because I enjoy what I do.

Have you tried to send a message through your work?

Dexter: Certainly. My message is that men's fashion does not have to be black, and gray. Men can also trendy, yet classic. It is amazing to see my clients to transform their style through my work.

Lubica: My message is that you can be fashionable and comfortable at the same time. My clothes should allow women of all shapes, sizes and ages to feel good about yourself, knowing that they. ?ubica the implementation of a design
